‘Captain America: Brave New World’ welcomes newcomers to Marvel Cinematic Universe

The latest movie from Marvel Studios, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, has a mix of silver screen veterans and newcomers.

Hollywood legend Harrison Ford says he would have a shot to play in Marvel Cinematic Universe after more than 60 years in the Show Biz.

“There’s a sandbox that I haven’t played in,” says Ford. “I look over there and these guys are having fun. Hi, come on! I want some.”

And boy, he got it!

Ford takes over for the late William Hurt as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. His character is also transformed into Red Hulk.

Shira Haas is also new to the Marvel family, such as Ruth Bat-Seraph, the president’s adviser.

“She’s an ex-black widow,” Haas explains. “She’s Israeli born, but she works for the US government.”

Haas is also Israeli born.

It makes her think of her own journey to this moment.

“To think about it could make me cry today,” Haas says. “A young shira would be very proud. This is really bigger than a dream come true. I didn’t even dream of it. That’s how big it is to me.”

From Mandalorian to Breaking Bad, fans have manifested this MCU moment for Giancarlo Esposito.

“This movie is really incredible entertainment,” says Esposito. “It galvanizes. I dig it.”

Then his children did.

“My daughter has tried to tell me, ‘This is huge, papa! This is huge.'”

Esposito is Prof. Seth Voelker who becomes the villainous sidewinder.

“I have to be the smartest, worst baddie,” says Esposito. “You either shrink or you get up. You are on the set with these heavy weights and you have to own every moment of it.”

“Captain America: Brave New World” hits theaters on February 14th.

Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company in ABC.
