Department of Justice Suring Against New York, Top Officers Over Immigration Policy, says court lawyer Pam Bondi

New York (WABC) – The Ministry of Justice is taking litigation against the state of New York and government conference Kathy Hochul, Judicial Attorney Pam Bondi, announced on Wednesday over his alleged opposition to supporting the Trump administration’s crash at illegal immigration.

The new law lawyer delivered heated remarks announcing a new lawsuit against the New York State and top officials, claiming that they opposed federal efforts to enforce the nation’s immigration legislation.

“This is a new doj,” Bondi said. “We sued Illinois. New York did not listen, now you are next.”

She then brought up a woman whose 20-year-old daughter was raped and killed by a member of MS-13 in 2022.

The civil complaint was not immediately available to journalists at the news conference, but Bondi said the trial was centered around New York’s green light law that she claimed to ban the state’s sheriff’s department and other agencies to share motor vehicle data with federal authorities for immigration enforcement.

“They have a” tip-off “determination that requires New York’s DMV Commissioner to immediately inform any illegal foreigner when a federal immigration agency has requested their information,” Bondi said. “It is overturning an illegal foreigner. And it is constitutionally, and that is why we filed this trial.”

It didn’t take long for New York officials and city organizations to shoot back in response to the trial.

New York Attorney General Latitia James released a statement and said, “Our state laws, including the Green Light law, protects the rights of all New Yorkers and keeping our society safe. I am prepared to defend our laws, just as I always have.”

New York Civil Liberties Union (Nyclu) says “This archiving is another Trump Administration attempt to shameless weapons the Ministry of Justice to scare political opponents and exert wrong political pressure.” They added that the charges “represent a gross intrusion into New York’s constitutional right to legislate in areas traditionally within its concern,” and say they will review the archiving when published.

President and CEO of New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) also responded to Awawdeh with a statement, while also shoting at New York Mayor Eric Adams and saying trial, but he has a much worse track record against warriors to the public as our sneezing Attorney General Leticia James – who overwhelmingly defeated Trump’s previous attack on New York. “

The trial is the latest Salvo in Washington’s feud with New York.

Over the night, the federal government seized more than $ 80 million from the city’s bank accounts, Money Congress was allocated, and FEMA had awarded and paid to New York.

“Sending $ 59 million to a migrant hotel to house illegal immigrants where there are still people in North Carolina and California who have not received FEMA financing is not something this administration will tolerate,” said press secretary in the white House Karoline Leavitt.

“Elon Musk without any legal authority, grabbing it back from the city of New York is highway robbery, and the city can’t stand it,” said City Comptroller Brad lands in response.

It also comes when Trump’s border Czar Tom Homan is ready to meet with Mayor Adams on Thursday in the city hoping to leave a commitment from the mayor that NYPD will help end and deport violent illegal migrants.

The mayor’s critics urge him to do something and prove himself in the light of optics that he has cozied up to President Trump after the Ministry of Justice instructed prosecutors of rejecting his bribery case.

On Wednesday, Mayor Adams denied he was seen for Trump.

“Look at what I have done. How I have restored the city. How we have fought for the security of everyone in our care,” said Adams. “Nothing will change with that. There is a level of consistency with what we have achieved and we will continue to do so.”

The mayor says that when he meets Homan, he will ask for $ 80 million claws at the back of FEMA financing and added that the city’s company lawyer is investigating possible litigation.

During Bondi’s news conference on Wednesday, she was asked separately about the Department of Justice’s decision to drop the corruption case against Adams.

She said she was not aware that the US lawyer for the southern district of New York had not yet moved to the case being rejected, but said it should be.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hochul, who was expected to meet with President Trump in Washington on Thursday about New York’s priorities, will delay the meeting when her administration reviews the trial of the Ministry of Justice. They probably meet in Washington next week.
