Bucks’ Damian Lillard Out vs. Timberwolves with tender hamstring

Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Damian Lillard will sit out on Wednesday’s game against Minnesota Timberwolves, the last game before the All-Star break, with right hamstring tenderness.

Bucks will also be without star Giannis Antetokounmpo on Wednesday as he misses his sixth straight battle with a left calf strain. He will miss the All-Star weekend with his injury and is expected to return after the break.

Lillard is still expected to attend the NBA All-Star weekend, told sources of ESPN and defended his title as a two-time winner of 3-point shootout on Saturday and played in his ninth career All-Star Game Sunday in San Francisco.

Lillard, who was All-Star Game MVP in 2024 and has been selected for the game for each of his two seasons in Milwaukee, was born in Oakland and looks forward to this year’s game as a return home.

He average 25.8 points and 7.5 assists on 45% shooting (38% from 3 on 9.1 attempts) in 44 games this season.

Ryan Rollins started at the Point Guard for Milwaukee on Wednesday.
