The snow has ended in Delaware.

While the white things fell all over the state, Northwestern Sussex County looks like to have gotten the storm off the storm with Delaware environmental observation system Reporting 8 inches falling in Bridgeville. Snowfall fell when moving north with a little more than 2 inches in Claymont and Hockessin areas.

There is a chance of snow and rain all over the state for the rest of the day, according to the National Weather Service. Sleet is also probably in the evening in parts of the state.

Wednesday’s heights reach the top 30s in Kent and New Castle counties with parts of Sussex County that reach the 40s. Delaware is expected to see heights just about 50 – break out the beach towels.

Statewide

State of Delaware offices is closed under regular business in Kent and Sussex counties. Non-essential employees living or working in Kent and Sussex counties should not report to work during this period. Offices in New Castle County open at 1 p.m. 10 non-essential employees who live or work in New Castle County, first reports at 1 p.m. 10

Significant state employees appointed for severe weather must report as planned.

Delaware General Meeting: Wednesday’s meeting of the Joint Financial Committee has been re -planned for March 4th.

Delaware Court facilities In the Kent and Sussex empties, with the exception of the 24-hour justice of the Peace Court, will be closed on Wednesday. Court facilities in New Castle County open at 1 p.m. 10

Dart

The winter storm interrupted darts on Tuesday. The transport services said it would assess the road conditions on Wednesday morning, but has not passed a statement of what it is doing today.

New Castle County

  • City of Newark: City offices open at. 10 Wednesday.
  • New Castle County -Libraries: Want a two-hour delay on Wednesday.
  • New Castle County -Government: Non-Genency Essential staff and will have a two-hour delay on Wednesday.
  • Newark: City offices open at. 10 A planned public information session to discuss a project proposed by Newark Charter School in People Memorial Park has been canceled. An item is added to a future advice agenda. The city reminds residents and business owners that they have until 1 p.m. 7 Thursday to remove snow or ice from their sidewalks.
  • University of Delaware: No personal instruction is held on Wednesday. Significant staff must report to work Wednesday as planned. Non -essential employees must work externally on Wednesday and not report to Campus. Transport services were suspended at. 20 Tuesday so far.
  • Colonial School District: Schools and offices will be closed to all students and staff on Wednesday. All buildings are closed so that parking spaces can be cleared. There will be no activities after school and all sports have been canceled.
  • Brandywine Hundred Historical Society Has postponed a 10 p.m. 19.00 -Meeting scheduled to honor Black History Month.

Kent County

  • Dover City Council Committee for the whole meeting: Canceled. Next meeting is February 25th.
  • Milford School District Will have a remote learning Wednesday.
  • Lake Forest School District Will have remote learning Wednesday.
  • Kent County Government offices are closed according to the county’s site. Essential employees must report as planned.
  • Kent County Trash District Customers Your waste collection is delayed until Thursday. For the rest of the week, pick up the trash with a one-day delay. https://www.kentcounytyde.gov/home

Sussex County

  • Sussex County Government offices are closed Wednesday.
  • Cape Henlopen School District: Conducting asynchronous learning Wednesday.
  • Indian River School District is closed Wednesday. Optional online learning resources are available on the district website at Irsd.net. While the staff should not report to buildings, depotmen and administrators must have to. Predictors should await instructions from their bosses and building administrators.
  • Milford School District: Milford School District Will have a remote learning Wednesday.
  • Seaford School District: The district is closed Wednesday and students participate in external learning activities.
  • Sussex Technical High School: High School works after a remote learning plan on Wednesday.
