Mavs’ Anthony Davis avoided an operation on injury will miss’ Significant period ‘

Although Dallas Maverick’s Superstar Big Man Anthony Davis is ready to miss time due to an adductor strain, he does not require surgery.

Talking Wednesday Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective (From the 13:38 -mark)ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst said he believes Davis has avoided surgery.

However, Windhorst added that Davis will be out for a “significant period” of the time, referring to the recovery time line as “weeks and weeks.”

Davis suffered the damage against Houston Rockets on Saturday during his Mavs debut after Dallas acquired him from Los Angeles Lakers in the Blockbuster trade involving Luka Dončić.

Before the injury turned on a dominant performance for Mavs, where he got 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in what turned out to be a 116-105 Dallas victory.

However, disaster hit late in the third quarter when Davis suffered a non-contact injury. He had to leave the game at the time and did not return.

Davis said after the game that it was “nothing serious” but ESPNs Shams Charania and Tim Macmahon Later reported that the damage would force Davis to miss “Several Weeks.”

Prior to his 32th birthday next month, Davis had to be removed from the All-Star game because of his injury, making room for his Mavericks teammate at the Kyrie Irving guard.

Injuries have long been a problem for Davis, who played in 62 or fewer matches in five equal seasons from 2018-19 to 2022-23. It included missing all except 36 games in 2020-21 and all except 40 games in 2021-22.

Davis seemed to succumb to the trend last season as he played in a career high 76 matches for Lakers.

He also had one mostly healthy campaign 2024-25 until recently, when he only missed three of Lakers’ first 45 matches.

Davis had missed a few games with an abdominal strain at the time Mavericks acquired him, and now he has a much greater disorder to tackle.

The 10-time All-Star enjoys another huge statistical season, an average of 25.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.3 stealing per day. Match.

While many Mavericks fans were upset about the decision to act a 25-year-old superstar in Dončić for Lakers for a much older player in Davis, in his first game with the team showed what he and Irving were able to together as an inside -Outside Combo.

Unfortunately for Mavs, it seems that it will be quite a long time for Davis and Irving the next to share the court.

Adding insult to injury is the fact that Dončić had a successful debut with Lakers Monday, and recorded 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in just over 23 minutes as part of a 132-113 win over Utah Jazz.
