While the suspected barricaded himself inside the home, police blocked several streets in the neighborhood.

Cody High School, located near the stage, went on Lockdown, said a DPSCD spokesman.

The suspected shooting game was taken into custody about two hours later.

36. District Law Judge William C. McConico said in a statement:

“The city of Detroit has implemented a right to advise ordinance to ensure that tenants who cannot afford legal representation have access to it and that their rights are protected. In postponement cases, there is a thorough legal process in place, and when an postponement is ordered, tenants will have appropriate time to get their affairs in order. The officers of the court are called to the place for a postponement as a last resort. Court decisions are not optional and violence is never the answer. “
