February’s full Snow Moon dazzles in a flurry of amazing photos from all over the world

The second full moon in 2024, the snowmain in February, Wowed Skywatchers all over the world with a dazzling screen last night.

February’s full moon rose Wednesday (February 12) and remained high in the sky for most of the night before finally sitting with the morning sun.

Astrophotographers all over the world turned their attention to our lunar mate and catch some notable images and we’ve rounded off some of the best below.

In India, Yawar Nazir took this photo of full moon, shining bright next to the minaret of a mosque, February 12, in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

In the picture below, the full moon rises on February 12, the night of the Lantern Festival, Weifang, Shandong Province in China. Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the first moon month. The lanterns represent a new start as people release the past year and embrace the new one with the hope of luck.

Ozkan Bilgin caught this lovely scene by a man who drinks tea and enjoyed the view of the full moon with his dog as the moon rises over Mount Artos in the Gevas district in Van, Turkey.

Photographer Turhan Guldugur saw the full moon rise over the Selimiye mosque in Edirne, Turkey and broke this beautifully placed and well -timed photograph.
