‘My Fault: London’ movie placements

“There were precisely this fun, adventurous, enticing, sexy, exciting and romantic feeling that pulled us in,” says Charlotte Fassler, the film’s co-director with Dani Girdwood, Time Out.

And the plot? Teenage -Girl Noah (Asha Banks) is forced to move from Florida to London when her mother Ella (Eve Macklin) marries William (Ray Fearon). Arriving at the English capital, she meets and falls quickly for, her new step brother Nick (Buccaneers‘Matthew Broome). During the summer, they get closer and closer … until a figure from Noah’s earlier arrives in London to threaten their future.

Where was My fault: London filmed?

The filmmakers wanted to show a ‘high octane and sexier’ London who still felt real. “We wanted the city to feel like a character,” says Girdwood. ‘It must have a sense of desired fulfillment and excitement. There are so many films that shoot at very generic or vague places. We wanted ours to feel authentic. ‘

William and Nick’s home are in Highwood, Mill Hill

Mayfair’s Burlington house, built in the late 1600s, was used for the exterior where Nick poses for the paparazzi. “We wanted him to drive right in so you could see its impressive architecture. It felt really important that we were right in the center of London, ”says Girdwood.

The interior was filmed in Plaisterers’ Hall, an event space located in Barbican. “It (too) had this stately feeling,” says Girdwood. “It clearly felt unmerakan, so it gives her a character a cultural shock.

Noah and Nick come close when she joins him in an underground car chase that begins in a multi -storey parking lot. Noah notices after discovering that her boyfriend in Florida has cheated her with her bestie.

Go into Nick with a cunning plan to make Noah’s girlfriend jealous: Noah should send him pictures of those who kiss. He takes her up to the roof of the parking lot, where they kiss, all against a fantastic background of London’s skyline. “We wanted something that felt urban,” says Fassler. “It had to have a completely different structure than what we had seen in the family’s home or gala.”

Queen Elizabeth Parking space, built for the 2012 Olympics, hit the place. “It was important to have that glimpse of London in the background when they kiss,” says Girdwood. “Because even though we were in this different place, we wanted to keep it ground so that people knew we were still in London.”

The Racing Scenes were shot on Brands Hatch

My fault: Londons Car racing sequences were shot on the famous racing circuit at Brands Hatch in Kent. The role crew and filmmakers got the shutdown at the historical place of the track in British motor-racing history. “I remember driving around the track in our scouting car, and it just put a smile on all our faces,” says Fassler.

Nick and Noah’s Ibiza -holiday was shot in Tenerife

Looking out to get away from their parents’ curious eyes, Nick, Noah and their friends decide to take a weekend trip to Ibiza so they can get rid of. Instead of going to the specific island of film shooting, Girdwood admits they were traveling to Tenerife so they could shoot in a ‘little warm weather and give it that flavor’. This was required as My fault: London Was shot in winter, but it takes place in the summer.

While on Tenerife, Girdwood and Fassler also decided to film My fault: Londons Opening scenes set in Florida as it was much easier to recreate the aesthetic in Spain than in the winter Britain.

The last shootout was shot in Union Street, Southwark

At the end of My guilt: London, Noah is kidnapped by her evil, alienated father Travis (Jason Fløng). A car chase takes place starting at White Waltham, an airfield outside London, then down M1, before ending up in central London.

“For all the car chases, we had to weave together in different places on separate shooting days,” says Girdwood. The last shootout of the film took place on Union Street, near Southwark as they wanted to make sure there was a view of Shard in the background.
