Detroit – The white stripes are again Nominated to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The 2025 nominated were announced on Wednesday, February 12.

The legendary Detroit Rock Band was previously nominated but not introduced in 2023, which was the first year they were justified.

The white stripes were formed in Detroit in 1997 and released six albums over 10 years. Despite the fact that he no longer lives in the state, singer and frontman Jack White remains a staple of Detroit music.

This year, the Detroit duo has been nominated along with other huge names – including Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Outkast, Oasis, Cyndi Lauper and Soundgarden.

If introduced, the white stripes will join 21 other Detroit artists in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, such as Aretha Franklin, Eminem and Diana Ross.

The inductors are advertised in April After a voting period from music professionals and historians.
