Jhon Duran has started an electric start to life in Saudi Arabia after his £ 72 million move to al-nassr from Aston Villa in the transfer window in January.

Duran, 21, was sold to the Saudi-based side in what came as a shock movement to many when he had impressed during Unai Emery in the first half of the campaign.

After scoring 10 goals across 27 matches – 23 saw him introduced as a replacement – Duran was quickly considered one of the best young strikers in Europe.

Duran signed for Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023 and played 78 performances for the club.

But just as he seemed to make a case to become a regular starter for the villains, he was read to al-nassr, the Saudi Pro-League side with like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte.

The Colombian International has gamled impressively with his teammates since Switch and scored four goals in his first two matches for the club.

Duran scored a stag on his full debut for his new employers and helped them sweep Al-Fayha 3-0 aside.

He continued his hot streak on Wednesday and helped himself to two more goals to guide al-nassr past Ivan Toney’s Al-Ahli-with-Med England Tip, which also scored its own goal.

AL-NASSR is currently in third place in the Saudi Pro League, two points behind second place al-Hilal and four points from the leaders al-titihad.

Dhuran’s page is also secured a knockout site in the AFC Champions League, after winning five of their seven matches in the group play.

The strike’s hot streak comes as he admitted to feeling Starstruck by playing in the same team as Cristiano Ronaldo.
