Colorado State Wrestling Live Results, Updates to Fort Collins, Windsor

Denver – without a doubt is the most electric weekend in Colorado High School Sports here.

The annual High School State Wrestling Championship Tournament runs Thursday to Saturday in Denver and contains more than 40 Fort Collins area Wrestlers.

It includes a dozen from Class 4A No. 3 Windsor, half a dozen from 5A Top-10 Poudre, and program record numbers from Poudre School District Stars Girls Team (SIX) and Timnath Boys (FOUR).

The tournament begins at noon Thursday with action in the first round and wraps Saturday night with the championship.

Eagles’ regional champion Ben Gomez picked up where he left off and won his 3A 113 opener via pin in just 30 seconds over the classic Academy’s Isaiah Gaona. Gomez faces Bayfields Hunter Mars in a quarterfinals.

The Fort Collins area has four top-ranked wrestlers, which on Mat projects as state champions.

It includes two dominant Windsor -wrestlers and a PSD girls -Wrestler who would be the first state champion in the program history. There is also a well -known name for Poudre aiming for a repetition.

Friday, February. 14

  • Session 3: 2A/3A boys + 4A girls, comfort/2. round comfort (8:30 am-now)
  • Session 3 (Continued) 4A/5A Boys + 5A Girls Consolation/2. round comfort (12: 45-4 pm)
  • Session 4: All Class Semifinals (18 o’clock) With Three -Round Consolation To Follow (19:15)

Saturday, February. 15

  • Session 5: All class steps -SemiFinal (9 AM)
  • Session 5 (Continued): All matches in Class 5th place (immediately after the previous round)
  • Session 5 (Continued): All matches in Class 3rd place (immediately after 5th place matches)
  • Session 6: All class championships in the class (Parade of Champions Starts at 4pm)
