Briefly in the last game before All-Star Break

Los Angeles Lakers is one of the hottest teams in basketball that has won six equals and 10 of their last 11. They seem to keep things rolling on Wednesday night when they take off Utah Jazz at the Delta Center in the last game before all Star Break.

Lakers come on a blow -out victory over the same jazz team Monday in what was the debut of Luka Doncic. Now they hope to do the same in Utah, although the task is more difficult considering that some key players are out with injuries.

Dorian Finney Smith (left ankle tenderness), Maxi Kleber (Return to the right foot surgery), Cam Reddish (Personal) and Gabe Vincent (Left Knee -soreness) has all been excluded for LA The good news is that LeBron James (left ankle) , Austin Reaves (left elbow contusion) and Doncic (left calf strain) are all capable of fit despite being in the injuries report.

Doncic played 24 minutes in his laker’s debut after missing about six weeks of calf damage. He is expected to be on a minute’s limitation again in this one, although if the game is close to the number being higher than 24. After beating the rust and nerves in his laker’s debut, it would not be surprising if Doncic sees more out like his self -harm in his second game with LA

With some key bench players out, others have to step up to lakers in this one. They should have Dalton Knecht and the newly acquired Alex Len in the lineup to help with that. The former is now back with the team after the canceled trade and could give a scoring stance from the bench, while the latter should give Laker’s much needed size and help on the offensive glass after being signed on Tuesday.

In addition, two-way guard Jordan Goodwin should continue to get out of minutes with both Finney-Smith and Vincent. His hustle and defense has been a breath of fresh air for the last few games, and he has even shown growth offensively compared to earlier in his career.

Given how close so many teams are in the Western Conference position, beating jazz is mandatory for a Lakers team that could fight for Homecourt advantage in the playoffs down the road. Although they are short-haired in this one, it would be great to get another win and go into the All-Star break on a high note.
