Punta Arenas, Chile -Dramatic footage caught the moment a humpback whale that was broken and briefly enveloped a kayaks under a father-son out of the Chilean coast.

The moment that seems straight out of a biblical tale was captured by the father, Meydell Alfredo Simanca’s Rodriguez, on February 8 and has since become viral. He published Dramatic meeting to his YouTube channel entitled “Swallowed and spit out of a whale.”

His footage shows the whale that surfaces near his son, Adrian Andres Simanca’s Jaimes, and knocked him out of his kayak as the whale’s mouth closed around him. His son said the whale caught him in his mouth before releasing him under water.

When the father calmly paddles against his son, he calms him down with the words “Tranquilo, Roquil”, which is translated into “calm down, escaped” in Spanish.

Despite the terrible experience, his son seems to be unmarried. Venezuelan media reported he was “completely shocked by the situation.”
