Best efforts for the NBA Rising Stars Tournament

2025 NBA All-Star Weekend celebrations begin tonight in San Francisco.

This year’s Rising Stars game-a annual showcase for the league’s top rookies and sophomores-will be stylized as a three-game mini tournament. Four teams of which three consist of first and second year’s NBA players, and one consists of G Leaguers- will compete.

The format contains two first to 40 points semi -final game followed by a first to 25 point championship game. The effort is a little higher this time as the winning team earns a bid for Sunday’s NBA All-Star tournament.

Before we dive into matchups and best bets for the Rising Stars tournament, let’s check out the guards.

Here’s a look at the 2025 NBA Rising Stars Rosters:

Best efforts for the NBA Rising Stars Tournament

Team G League vs. Team M.

Over 73.5 points (-112)

Team G League takes Team M in the semi -final round tonight.

Team M contains the best player in this tournament and future perennial All-Star Amen Thompson. There is no doubt that they are the more talented group in this matchup.

However, I will find a way to get positive exposure on the Team G League. Remember, these are players who work day in and day out to prove themselves in the hope of securing a full-time NBA concert. With the added bonus of potentially competing in Sunday’s All-Star Game, this tournament could mean more for the Team G League than any other group. I expect their efforts to reflect it.

Bryce McGowens (27.5 points per match) and JD Davidson (26.5 points per match) puts every big song in the G League this season, while Reed Sheppard is a decent three-and-D option.

Instead of taking the Team G League’s spread of +4.5 points, my favorite way of supporting them is taking over 73.5 points. As this game is played at 40 points, the Team G League could theoretically lose by six points for over to cash. It gives us a little more the weaving room than the spread and acts as a way of betting on Team G League’s efforts without asking them to win anything.

Rising Stars wins

Team Chris Mullen (+185)

I mentioned that Amen Thompson from Team M is the best player in this tournament. I don’t think it can be discussed. They also happen to have the easiest route to the championship by playing Team G League in Semis. Therefore, Team M (+150) is the favorite to win this tournament.

However, I think the most rounded group is Team Chris Mullen and I like their chances of getting out on top tonight.

Team C has three-point shooting on lock with Jaylen Wells (37.6% 3p%) and Dalton Knecht In the fold. They also have a strong border protector in Zach Edey that provide sizes of everyone in this tournament.

In case they see Team M in the championship, Edey’s size can be a winning factor. Yves Missi Serves as Team M’s Big Man but he left last night New Orleans Pelicans Play with one knee injury. We have not received words about Missi’s status for tonight, but I would say that it is definitely in danger after he missed three quarters (and overtime) of a real NBA game just last night.

Team C’s biggest weapon is Stephon Castle. He has been the most impressive rookie in the 2024 draft and currently has the shortest Rookie Odds of the year on +155. Without much exaggeration, Castle has already established himself as one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. He has also scored 18.1 points per Battle during the last month in spite of San Antonio Spurs To be a beautiful watch -heavy team.

I think Team C has the biggest edge, so I back them back to win the Rising Stars Tournament directly at +185 odds.
