More than 1 million igloo -coolers remembered after reports of injuries including finger tip amputations

More than 1 million igloo -rolling coolers sold nationwide by retailers, including Amazon, Costco and Target, is remembered after a dozen reports of fingertip damage, including amputations, according to a message sent Thursday by a federal regulator.

The tow on the igloo-90-liter flip & tug Rolling coolers can squeeze users’ fingertips, pose amputation and crushing dangers, declared the recall announced by the US consumer product security commission.

The manufacturer of the coolers, Katy, Texas-based Igloo Products Corp., has received 12 reports of fingertip damage, including amputations, bone fractures and lacerations, the recall message forwarded.

The recalled coolers sold from January 2019 to January 2025 for between $ 80 and $ 140 in stores and online, including Academy, Amazon, Dick’s, Costco and Igloo products.

The recalled coolers have a towing handle with “Igloo” printed on the side and came in several body and lid color combinations. Each has one of almost 50 model numbers on labels attached to the bottom of the products. Check here For a list.
