NJ WEATHER: Up to 5 inches of snow, ice, heavy rain, 60 km / h wind throw in brutal weekend forecast

The stormy weather starts on Saturday with 2 to 4 inches of snow over northern New Jersey with up to 5 inches possible in some places.

The snow should start around 1 p.m. 13 and spread from west to east.

National Weather Service has issued Winter Weather Advisories for parts of eight counties that are expected to see the most snow.

At least 1 empty snow is expected north of the I-95 corridor and it can be accompanied by a dangerous coating of ice.

“Saturday will be an active weather day, with snow, ice pellets and icing over the northern and central parts of our region changing to rain late Saturday night,” the weather service said.
