In the emotional Instagram Post, The Bachelorette Alun shared two photos of herself smiling and a long caption that she began with, “Life Update: I have breast cancer.”

“Yesterday I saw all the pairs send their Valentines Day celebration. I felt envious if I was honest, ”she continued. “Jeff took me to Hawaii, and then we had to travel around the world before planting roots together in NYC eventually. But instead, my Vday was spent coordinating a place to live as I have to return to LA for more testing and treatment. ”

Instead of celebrating the holidays with Arcuri, Thurston used “my morning to find out insurance for NYC and laws on prior conditions,” she wrote. “I planned agreements for another biopsy, fertility, mental health, surgery and meeting with my team to discuss the overall treatment plan that will include chemo.”

Thurston was diagnosed with cancer two weeks before the position, she revealed and wrote that she “experienced a number of emotions” during the period. “Despair. Anger. Grief. Refusal. And then Strength,” she wrote. “Purposefully. Ready. I cried a lot. I even tried to make a video instead of this post and couldn’t. ”

“But one thing I did early,” she wrote, “was searching (after) other stories like mine. Other young women with breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma. Mastectomy. Pregnancy after breast cancer. All their stories helped. So I intend to be the same for others. ”

“This is day one of the sharing and becomes long,” Thurston wrote. “This first step in acceptance of my reality was the hardest. But I’m ready to fight this. ”

The former bachelorette completed her post by thanking her “extraordinary man to be” in which she wrote that she had “saved the best in the end.”

“I don’t know how I would do this without you,” she wrote about Arcuri. “The selfless love that you suffocate me is beyond all I imagined I would be blessed with. I love you fully in this lifetime and the next. . ”

Thurston’s emotional message was met with lots of support, including several messages in the comments of Colleague Bachelor Nation -alumner, including Jade Roper and Kaitlyn Bristowe.
