First Alarm Weather Day | Concerns of flooding; Heavy rain is expected

(WSAZ) – The entire view area is already under a flooding watch until Sunday afternoon for the probability of high water issues over the next 2 days. Several rainfalls are expected today when rain starts early this morning with some mixed gossip up the Scioto Trail and into parts of Kentucky near Grayson and Sandy Hook, although the gossip is not expected to last very long in the morning.

One thing to notice about today, we do not necessarily expect severe weather. There may be some gusty wins inside a localized thunderstorm as the warmer air enters the region in the afternoon hours, but generally the risk of serious weather is not a problem today. However, the flood problem will not only last today, but tomorrow, as well as the rain will be stable and heavy, into the afternoon and evening of our Saturday.

Everywhere from 2-4 ″ rain is expected today, with the first threat being street flooding in the early afternoon hours, after which small streams rise in the later afternoon, leading to flooding flooding flooding as we enter Saturday night and Sunday morning.
