Arizona State Clinches Berth in Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship

IRVING, Texas – With their 49-7 win over Arizona in the Territorial Cup on Saturday and a TCU win over Cincinnati, Arizona State has clinched a spot in the 2024 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship, accomplishing the feat in their first season as a member of the Big 12 Conference.

The Sun Devils finished the regular season with a Big 12 record of 7-2 and 10-2 overall, posting the program’s first 10-win season since 2014. ASU’s opponent in the championship has yet to be determined. ASU was one of four teams remaining in the race for the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship participating in Saturday night’s games.

The 2024 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship will take place at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, December 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and will be televised on ABC. The game will feature three-time Grammy Award-winning hitmaker NE-YO as its halftime player as the Big 12 Conference continues to balance innovation with tradition. NE-YO will be joined by both schools’ marching bands during the performance.
