Jay-Z smiles with Beyoncé, Blue Ivy at ‘Mufasa’ premiere after rape case

Jay-Z refused to go into hiding despite the shocking allegations against him.

The “Empire State Of Mind” rapper, 55, held his head high while performing at the premiere of Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” on Monday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Jay-Z – whose real name is Shawn Carter – seemed unfazed by the recently amended civil lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a “Jane Doe” in 2000 when she was just 13 years old. The Roc Nation founder denied the “heinous” allegations and called the lawsuit an “extortion attempt.”

Jay-Z was all smiles alongside Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, 12, on the red carpet for the film (out Dec. 20), which stars his wife as the voice of Nala and their eldest daughter as the lion cub Kiara. Even his mother-in-law, Tina Knowles, posed with the challenged star.

The family put on a united front and showed they are behind the Carter patriarch.

Sources with direct knowledge tell The Post that before the allegations, it was rumored that Jay-Z and Beyoncé did not plan to attend the premiere; however, they appeared to have changed their minds after the trial.

The Post reached out to Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s team for comment.

Jay-Z dressed to the nines in a black suit and tie with a white collared shirt. Beyoncé and Blue matched in gorgeous gold dresses, while Tina also stayed true to the color trend in an all black ensemble with a gold metallic belt.

Tina shared a smile with her son-in-law, hours after she “liked” a post about the accusations against him. She later claimed that she had been hacked.

Beyoncé’s mother shared by taking to social media a screenshot of her notes, which read: “I got hacked! As you all know I don’t play with my family. So if you see anything out of character for me. Just know it’s not me!”

She captioned the post: “Please stop playing with me!!!! ‘No weapon formed against my family shall prosper.’

On Sunday, Jay-Z was named as a defendant in a lawsuit originally filed against Diddy in October.

In the amended complaint, filed in New York on Dec. 8, the woman — identified only as Jane Doe — claimed the rappers allegedly raped her at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards while an unnamed female celebrity looked on.

Jay-Z quickly issued a statement, denying the accusations and saying his “only heartbreak is for my family.”

In addition to Blue Ivy, the famous couple are also parents to twins Rumi and Sir, 7.

“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at an age where her friends will surely see the press and question the nature of these allegations and explain the cruelty and greed of young people,” statement , posted it Roc Nation X Account (formerly Twitter), read in part.

“I mourn another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure this at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of evil aimed at destroying families and the human spirit,” he continued.

In the complaint, Jane Doe claimed she was approached by Combs’ alleged limo driver who invited her to an after party while trying to get into the 2000 VMAs in New York City when she was 13. At the after party residence, she alleged , that she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

At one point during the party, Jane Doe said she was allegedly drugged after being served a drink and “held down by Carter as he vaginally raped her while Combs and Celebrity B looked on. After Carter finished, he stepped back against the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped Plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B looked on.”

Diddy was arrested in September on charges of extortion and sex trafficking. He is behind bars pending his trial in May 2025.
