On December 11, 2024, Selena Gomez took to her Instagram to announce her engagement to longtime boyfriend Benny Blanco. In it pictures shared by the “Calm Down” singer, the couple looked adorable with Gomez flaunting her diamond ring while Blanco hugged her.

Things got interesting when Taylor Swift decided to drop a sweet comment on Gomez’s big day. After liking the post, the pop star wrote, “Yes, I want to be the flower girl,” hinting that the “Anti-Hero” singer wanted to attend Gomez’s wedding.

For those unaware, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been close friends for a long time. The two first got together through the Jonas brothers, when Gomez dated Nick Jonas while Swift was committed to Joe Jonas (via Today).

In August 2008, Gomez and Swift were reportedly first spotted together on a dinner date with their respective partners.
