Greg Gutfeld returns to Fox News after paternity leave

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld is set to return to the network on Monday, Jan. 6, after stepping away on paternity leave after he and his wife welcomed a baby girl in December.

Tuesday, December 10, Dana Perino informed that Gutfeld was absent for the best of reasons, as his wife had given birth to a daughter. In a statement sent to the show, Gutfeld joked that his daughter was “healthy with a real set of lungs.”

Greg Gutfeld’s return to Fox News follows 2024, which was his late-night show – Gutfeld! – to see its best year in program history as it averaged 2.5 million viewers. A September visit by then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump set a new high-water mark for the show, as nearly 5 million viewers tuned in to the conversation.

In addition to hosting the late-night show, Gutfeld, 60, is also a panelist on the network’s show The five — along with hosts Jesse Watters, Dana Perino and Jeanine Pirro — which led all cable news in total viewers in 2024.
