Touro Infirmary building evacuated after fire breaks out | News

A fire broke out Monday afternoon in a doctor’s office at Touro Infirmary, prompting evacuations, according to a spokesman.

Public relations manager Toni Harrigan said officials became aware of the fire in the Touro medical office building across from the main hospital at 10 p.m. 3:30 p.m. From At 3:49 p.m., at least seven engines from the New Orleans Fire Department were on scene as firefighters. battled the fire, which was visible at the top of the building at 3525 Prytania Street.
