Where Southern California Edison has shut off power to its customers

A “life-threatening and destructive” windstorm is expected to last through Thursday, bringing severe fire danger and widespread power outages to Southern California.

This is the third time in as many months that strong Santa Ana winds have caused Southern California Edison to cut power to its customers.

The map below shows which areas are currently without power and which are under consideration for power outages.

As of Tuesday afternoon, about 7,500 customers in Los Angeles and Ventura counties were without power. More than 400,000 people were under consideration for closure.
