Spencer Pratt, Adam Brody, Anna Faris among celebrities whose homes reportedly burned down as evacuations continue

With wildfires sweeping parts of Los Angeles County, Hollywood stars are among the many who have lost homes or evacuated.

The Pacific Palisades home of Adam Brody, the star of Nobody wants this, and his wife, Leighton Meester, were reportedly devastated by the fire, as was Anna Faris, according to TMZ. Songwriter Diane Warren also lost her home.

“I’ve had this house for almost 30 years,” Warren wrote on Instagram. Looks like it was lost in the fire last night. There is a rainbow shining on it, which I take as a sign of hope for all creatures affected by this tragedy.”

Pacific Palisades Home of The hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have been destroyed by fire. Pratt shared videos on social media as flames entered the home they share with their two young children.

“Nightmare came true,” he wrote.

He later shared a photo taken from a camera inside the house of his son’s kindergarten. He said the “one positive sign” he saw as “our house burned down” was that the child’s bed was “burning in the shape of a heart.” He called it “a sign of how much love was in this house” and said he was “so grateful” for their memories there.

Pratt’s sister, Stephanie, revealed more about the fire, saying their father tried to save her brother’s home, but “there was nothing he could do.” Their parents’ nearby home has since burned down, she said. Her own Pacific Palisades home is in the path of the flames, but she didn’t have information on that yet.

Cameron Mathison posted a video on Instagram of his house destroyed and still burning.

Ricki Lake previously posted pictures of her “dream home” on Instagram, but in her caption she wrote: “It’s all gone.”

James Woods posted a photo of fire spreading up a hill to his deck.

The actor later wrote: “I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills lasted this long. It feels like losing a loved one.”

Known as the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires in LA, the wildfires have been devastating to the region, spreading rapidly with winds of up to 99 miles per hour. There has been 0% containment of the fires at press time. Mandatory evacuations were issued for more than 80,000 residents. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency. Firefighters are stretched thin as the fire burns out of control.

Jamie Lee Curtis shared on Instagram a photo by photojournalist Ethan Swope of the “terrible situation” on January 8. The actress wrote that her “community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes.”

Maria Shriver posted video, shot by CBS News’ Jonathan Vigliotti, of the destroyed Pacific Palisades. The reporter wrote: “Heartbreaking, devastating, unimaginable. Everything is gone. Our neighborhood, our restaurants. All our friends have lost everything. We are evacuated but safe. But people have lost everything.”

Dan Levy, whose father, Eugene, was photographed in gridlock while evacuating Pacific Palisades, shared a photo and wrote that he was “devastated for my family, my friends and the people of LA affected by these catastrophic fires .”

Mark Hamill called it the “most horrific fire since ’93” when he evacuated from Malibu with his family.

Steve Guttenberg, who lives in Pacific Palisades, said on CNN that the fire is “the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen.” When he evacuated, he helped clear the cars left on the Pacific Coast Highway so that firefighters could get through.

Jennifer Love Hewitt wrote: “I have no words. Only prayers and as much hope as I can for our home and our children as we watch everything burn. Thank you to all the first responders who are fighting so hard for all of us. Thank you to all the girlfriends , who reached out and new people I’ve hugged in tears in the last 24 hours.”

Minnie Driver wrote that she “spent a long night watching my friends’ homes burn.”

Chet Hanks — the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who have a home in Pacific Palisades — wrote that “the neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground.”

Mandy Moore updated her fans that she evacuated with her family, including her newborn baby and their pets. The actress, who is staying with friends, shared Wednesday that she doesn’t know if their home survived and is “overwhelmed by the destruction and loss” in the entire area.

Eric Braeden, star ofThe young and the restless, shared a video of fire “behind my house!” He called it “the worst EVER in LA!”

Once evacuated, Molly Sims shared a video to Instagram Stories about the fire behind her home.

Cary Elwes shared footage from his emergency exit from Malibu and described the fires as “biblical”.

Travis Barker’s children, Alabama and Landon, said they were evacuated.

Sheryl Lee Ralph posted a video clip on Threads from what appears to be Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, where Abbott Elementary shoots, with smoke overhead and flames in the distance. (on Wednesday study tours that were cancelled.)

She also shared a video of herself driving in Hollywood with flames and smoke in the distance in front of her. “It’s absolutely crazy right now,” she said. “This place is on fire, honey.”

Rosie O’Donnell said she was safe in a hotel.

Jay Pharoah shared an aerial video saying it was captured from a plane overnight.

Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, live in Pacific Palisades. She posted photos of the devastation on her Instagram Stories and urged people fleeing to leave water out for animals also fleeing.

Ben Affleck was photographed evacuates his Pacific Palisades home and goes to ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s nearby residence, which was not under a mandatory evacuation.

Meanwhile, the Palisades Fire burned down the Palisades Charter High School, which is a popular filming location, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The school was the setting for films including Carrie, crazy/beautiful, The 2003 remake of the Cool Friday and that Teen Wolf TV series.

The Screen Actors Guild nominations were to be announced live on January 8, but were announced via a press release “due to wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles.”

The premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s latest film, Unstoppablewas canceled on January 7 due to “safety concerns regarding increased wind activity and fire outbreaks.”
