Is Apple Pay Down? Users report crashes in Payment Cash App. Here’s what we know

Although Apple Pay is not down according to the company’s system status page, there are ongoing issues with Apple Cash. Apple said the problem began Wednesday morning and was still occurring as of 4:30 p.m. ET.

“Some users are affected. Some users may experience problems with this service,” the company’s system status page says.

Why is Apple Cash not working?

According to Downdetector, users reported problems transferring funds to Apple Cash, which works similar to a bank by holding funds from recent Apple Pay transactions. In addition, there were problems making payments in general and accessing Apple Wallet.

As Apple Cash is a digital card in Wallet, users can also use it for purchases in stores, online and in apps with Apple Pay.
