CLOSING NOTICE FOR TUESDAY JANUARY 7

Due to hazardous road conditions and additional snowfall forecast for this evening, Falls Church City Public Schools will remain closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025:

  • All schools closed
  • All day services closed
  • All administrative offices closed
  • All afternoon and evening activities cancelled

Important notes:

  • Road conditions remain unsafe for bus and car traffic
  • Further snowfall expected tonight will further affect travel
  • Wednesday’s operational status will be assessed tomorrow afternoon
  • Updates on Wednesday will be communicated no later than 18.00 Tuesday

Necessary Community Action:

  • Please continue to clear sidewalks and bus stops after each snowfall
  • Pay particular attention to corners and pedestrian crossings
  • Remove any refreeze from previously cleared areas
