Woods is one of many people whose homes in the affluent Los Angeles area have been engulfed in flames, forcing them to evacuate.

The actor has shared several updates on social media showing the massive damage while keeping his followers updated on his and his family’s well-being.

Although Woods initially hoped his home would survive the wildfire thanks to sprinkler systems and other fire prevention measures, he later shared online that all “fire alarms” in his home had gone off remotely, indicating the flames had reached his house.

While several on X comforted the actor, one person appeared to troll Woods by highlighting his stance on climate change, implying that this caused the wildfire.

The person wrote: “The irony of James Woods, known for his climate change skepticism, losing his home to the very wildfires linked to climate change in California is striking.”

In a scathing response, Woods said, “This fire is not from ‘climate change’ you ignorant a-hole. That’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass. One does not understand the first thing about fire management, and the other cannot fill the water reservoirs. #INSTABLOCKER.”

James Woods says losing his home feels like ‘losing a loved one’

He said: “All the smoke detectors go off in our house and send to our iPhones. I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills lasted this long. It feels like losing a loved one.”

In a follow-up post, Woods added: “I took this last night from our beautiful little home in the Palisades. Now all the fire alarms are going off at once remotely. It tests your soul, losing everything at once I must say.”

He has also hinted that getting insurance support could be a problem, revealing in a tweet that “one of the major insurance companies (sic) canceled all insurance in our neighborhood about four months ago.”
