Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the Supercopa de España final after a 3-0 semi-final win over Mallorca on Thursday.

Scoring: Bellingham 61′, 90+3′ Valjent (OG), Rodrygo 90+6′

Carlo Ancelotti’s side were on the front foot from the first whistle, with stars Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo alert. Goalkeeper Dominik Greif was kept on his toes to deny the quartet for most of the game.

However, a surprise counter-attack could have given Mallorca a shock lead when Cyle Larin beat Antonio Rūdiger for pace. Unfortunately for him, his unmarked header missed the target from point blank range.

Madrid continued to play wide and struggled to deconstruct Mallorca’s organized defence. Such an approach led to the game being deadlocked at halftime despite 15 shots.

Los Blancos continued to dictate the game after the break but lost Aurélien Tchouaméni to a head injury. The French midfielder walked off on his own before he had to undergo treatment.

After over an hour of Mallorca hanging on, they finally broke. Madrid’s forwards surged forward and after Rodrygo hit the post, Mbappé was denied on the rebound until Bellingham eventually powered the ball home.

The Englishman is still in fine form for the giants from the Spanish capital. The moment was his 10th assist in his last nine games for the club.

Mallorca’s inability to register a shot on target was the reason they failed to mount a comeback. Then to make matters worse, a late own goal from Martin Valjent made it 2-0 before Rodrygo piled on the misery by sweeping home a late third in the dying moments.
