‘You must have the most selfless wife in the world’

Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman has made headlines for his response to a question about how he balances coaching and his family. In a now trending post on social media, Freeman made it clear that his wife is the key to his family’s success and how there are “many times” where she handles the duties of “a single parent” due to his hectic schedule.

But he also outlined how he does his best to mix his family and football life as much as possible, including bringing his family to football practices or team events. As a result of the now-trending video, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders responded on social media to Freeman with some positive words.
