Mike Kehoe has been sworn in as the next Missouri governor

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KY3/KFVS) – Missouri Governor-elect Mike Kehoe will take the oath of office on Monday.

You can watch the ceremony, including the oath of office and his inauguration speech, beginning shortly before 7 p.m.

A schedule of events for the day includes:

  • 9 a.m. – The Salute to Heroes event begins in the Capitol First Floor Rotunda.
  • 10:00 – The Salute to Heroes event ends.
  • 10 a.m. – Election of Governor Kehoe to the gavel in the Missouri Senate.
  • 11:30 a.m. – The inauguration ceremony begins on the Capitol South Lawn with a welcome by Andy Blunt, chair of the Securing Missouri’s Future Inaugural Committee, and the departure of Gov. Michael L. Parsons.
  • 11:37 a.m. – Joint session convened by the Missouri General Assembly at the order of Senator Cindy O’Laughlin.
  • 11:40 a.m. – Offices administered to Attorney General, Treasurer, Secretary of State and Lieutenant Governor.
  • 12:00pm – Oath of office administered to Governor Mike Kehoe by Senator Roy Blunt, followed by 19-gun salute and flyover.
  • 12:03 PM – Governor Kehoe delivers the opening address.
  • 12:13 – Performance by the 135th Missouri Army National Guard Band.
  • 12:20 – Inauguration ceremony ends.
  • 12:45 | Day 1 Action Ceremony in the Governor’s Office. *This event begins immediately after the dedication ceremony and is open to media and invited guests only.
  • 1:45 PM – Promenade of Budweiser Clydesdales from the Missouri State Capitol to the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
  • 2:00 PM – Meet and greet with Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
  • 19.00 – Grand March and opening ball.

These events are hosted by his inaugural committee, Securing Missouri’s Future, and are open to the public. No tickets are required.

Kehoe will deliver his first State of the State address on Tuesday 28 January.
