The Last Jeopardy of the Day – Friday, January 10, 2025 – Jeopardy! Fan

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the January 10, 2025 game Danger! – do not scroll down if you want to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some US television markets.

Here is today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Notable Americans) for Friday, January 10, 2025 (Season 41, Game 90):

He said he fell in love with his country while a prisoner of another, and dedicated the rest of his life to public service

(correct answer under participants)

Today’s Jeopardy! participants:

Enzo Cunanana student from Orlando, Florida (Yesterday’s total: $21,800)
Enzo Cunanan on Jeopardy!
Sam Camerona financial manager from Fargo, North Dakota (Yesterday’s total: $3,400)
Sam Cameron on Jeopardy!
Drew Goinsa journalist from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi (Yesterday’s total: $5,000)
Drew Goins on Jeopardy!

Andy’s thoughts before the game:

Today is the last day of the Second Chance competition this season; it concludes with day 2 of the week 2 finals. Enzo Cunanan has a big lead over both Drew Goins and Sam Cameron, with both Drew and Sam giving crucial wrong answers during Game 1 of the finals. Enzo’s lead isn’t insurmountable, though – because everything earned during the main game today can be doubled in Final Jeopardy, Enzo’s “effective lead” over Drew is only half the $16,800 he actually leads by – $8,400 – while Enzo has an effective $9,200 lead over Sam. (I should also note that I thoroughly enjoyed every time Buzzy Cohen referenced this during tournament play last season in Inside Jeopardy.)

Next week starts the Champions Wildcard; I’m hoping to post a preview over the weekend, but that would be contingent on the show airing quarterfinal pairings by Monday morning.

“I had loved her before then, but like most young people my affection was little more than a simple appreciation of the comforts and privileges most Americans took for granted. It was not until I had lost America for a time that I realized how much I loved her.” John McCain wrote it in his memoirs The Faith of My Fatherswhere he talks about his time as a Vietnamese prisoner of war After retiring from the Navy, McCain became a member of the House of Representatives, a US senator and presidential candidate before he died in 2018.
