Beyoncé delays January 14 announcement due to LA fires

Hours after donating $2.5 million to fire relief efforts through her BeyGOOD Foundation, Beyoncé made another big announcement about her January 14 mystery reveal.

“The announcement on January 14th will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires surrounding areas of Los Angeles,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram Monday evening. “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community. Visit @BeyGOOD to join in our efforts to support those affected. Love, B.”

On Christmas Day, Beyoncé took to Instagram to share one cryptic video of her riding a white horse and waving an American flag. The video ended by showing the date January 14, 2025. Her followers have been speculating what would come out of the big reveal, whether it’s an album or a new tour, but fans will have to wait at least a few days longer for to find out.

Beyoncé’s $2.5 million pledge through her foundation BeyGOOD, established in 2013, will directly provide funds to families who lost their homes in the Altadena and Palisades fires. BeyGOOD will also help fund churches and community centers to better assist the immediate needs of struggling families.

Beyoncé is the latest major Hollywood player to donate big money to fire relief efforts. On January 13, it was announced that Eva Longoria was donating $1 million to help those affected by the fires. The announcement came just days after Jamie Lee Curtis also pledged $1 million to support LA during this historic disaster.
