RPD investigates spectrum outage in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Charter Communications said Spectrum services have been restored in northwest Rochester.

Chief Communications Officer Chris Caporale said at this time it is unknown how many customers were affected by Friday’s outage.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A Spectrum outage was reported Friday affecting a number of Rochester residents and businesses, and the company says it was due to vandalism.

The Rochester Police Department said it received a report from Spectrum that a fiber optic line was cut overnight.

The report came around 11 and stated that the damage was discovered on N Broadway Ave.

A Charter Communications spokesman said the company believes its fiber cables were damaged due to an act of vandalism.

Technicians are currently working to fix the outage.
