Briane Harris: Curler is not to blame for anti-doping, says lawyer

Canadian curler Briane Harris is eligible to return to the sport after an absence of nearly a year.

Her lawyer says she received the decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport this morning.

Harris tested positive last January for trace amounts of the banned substance Ligandrol.

She received the results of an out-of-competition doping control test in mid-February and received a provisional ban.

A Swiss court arbitrator ruled that Harris held that she bears no fault or negligence for the breach and that “no exclusion period” is imposed.

Harris stars for Team Kerri Einarson.

More to come.
