Tracking school closings, delays in North Carolina on January 14, 2025

AVERY COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – More than a dozen school districts across North Carolina and the Charlotte region have changed their schedules on Tuesday, January 14 due to the potential for below-freezing ice.

The delays and closures are primarily north and west of Charlotte, especially toward the North Carolina mountains.

This week will remain dry until Saturday, when rain is likely; however, many areas remain wet from the weekend’s snow and ice.
