Eleven Dubcast: Ohio State knocks off Texas in Cotton Bowl, Notre Dame awaits in CFP National Championship

After Jack Sawyer arrived in game-winning time with one of the most clutch plays in Ohio State football history, the Buckeyes triumphed over the Texas Longhorns this weekend. Now, only the Notre Dame Fighting Irish stand in the way of OSU’s ninth national championship in school history.

In a world without copyright, the following music – which will ring in my ears until next Monday night – will be the theme of The Eleven Dubcast this week:

You can probably guess how this week’s nearly hour and a half of the show goes, as Johnny and I cheer for another win for Ohio State in the College Football Playoff. We’ll also make sure to feature plenty of Notre Dame game previews ahead of the national championship.

In addition, the Dubcast discussion also covers:

  • This might have been the least disciplined game the Buckeyes have played all season in terms of penalties and they still found a way to win. Can they afford to conjure up so much laundry in the title game?

  • Nearly four out of five OSU fans think Jack Sawyer was the Cotton Bowl MVP, but what about TreVeyon Henderson or Will Howard?

  • Ask us about anything — authors of [email protected] this week asked about many topics, such as what celebrity encounters have we had at Ohio State football games?
  • Big Game James did it again in the Orange Bowl! Do you enjoy Frames Janklining as much as we did?

  • Notre Dame has undoubtedly earned their spot in the national championship, but is there a case for the Fighting Irish serving as the worst team the Buckeyes have faced yet during this CFP round?

  • Congratulations to affable Dubcast veteran Terry McLaurin on achieving All-Pro status!

And that does it for this week’s Dubcast! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and more.
