Plus: The Caps have been looking for a full 60 minute effort where they take control of a game early and keep it for a couple of weeks now. Hell, at this point we’d be happy to crack 20 SOG. They have also needed to put in that kind of effort against teams at the bottom of the standings. Tonight they accomplished both by putting together a great opening frame and then hanging on the rest of the night to earn a workmanlike win over a team they should beat.
