Syracuse (8-8, 2-3 ACC) will face its toughest conference opponent yet when it hosts Louisville on Tuesday. The Cardinals are 12-5 overall and 5-1 in the ACC so far under first-year coach Pat Kelsey. Point guard Chucky Hepburn leads the way for Louisville with averages of 15.1 points, 5.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game. match. Louisville has also won six straight games, with wins over Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia and Pittsburgh in that span.

One of the biggest reasons for the Orange’s recent success is the return of JJ Starling. The junior guard is averaging 19.8 points this season but was injured for over a month. His first game back was Jan. 4, and in the last two games, Starling scored 21 and 26 points.

Freshman forward Donnie Freeman is the Orange’s second leading scorer this season, averaging 13.4 points per game. match. He has missed the last two games with injury, but Jyare Davis has stepped up for Syracuse and has been another primary reason it has won the last two games. He’s averaging 10 points and 8.5 rebounds in 33 minutes per game over the last two.

Both Starling and Davis will have to put up a big fight against the Cardinals for the Orange to have a chance to win. Louisville is currently 7.5-point road favorites (-285) to beat Syracuse on Tuesday. Over/under is 152.5.
