Lumon Industries employees are taking their work out of the office – and bringing it to Grand Central Station.

“Severance” stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry and Tramell Tillman appeared at a pop-up at Grand Central Station in New York on Tuesday to promote the Apple TV+ show’s second season.

A cubicle set was placed inside a large glass case in the station, recreating part of the office from the series. Footage shared on social media by fans and director and executive producer Ben Stiller showed Scott cleaning the carpet and joining his co-stars in pretending to work at their desks while ignoring the large crowd gathered around them.

Patricia Arquette, who plays Lumon manager Harmony Cobel, too appeared at the pop-up. Stiller was in attendance and recorded a video, while a person could be heard off-camera telling him they are a fan of his work.

Earlier in the day, pictures and videos on social media showed the desks populated by people who are not part of the main cast of “Severance” but served as Lumon employees. Before Scott and his co-stars showed up, Stiller wrote X“Rush today should be interesting.”

“Severance” revolves around a mysterious company that offers employees the opportunity to “separate” their work life from their home life. Workers who undergo a procedure forget their day at the office when they go home, allowing for a separation between the person at work, known as an “innie,” and the person in the outside world, an “outie.”

But it soon becomes clear that this creates a nightmarish existence for the “innien”, who from their perspective are forced to spend all their time working with no personal life.

Fans have been waiting almost three years for the second season of “Severance” after a massive cliffhanger that ended in April 2022. The production of season 2 was delayed due to the Hollywood labor strikes.

In addition to the returning cast, “Severance” Season 2 will also star Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat and Merritt Wever. The premiere hits Apple TV+ on Friday.
