NBA reschedules games postponed by LA wildfires, Atlanta storm – NBC Los Angeles

The NBA has finalized some schedule changes as a result of the wildfires in California and Atlanta winter storm.

After three games were postponed last week – two in Los Angeles and one in Atlanta – the league announced Wednesday that it has rescheduled nine games to accommodate the affected teams.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Charlotte Hornets was the first contest to be postponed on January 9th, and that game will now be held at Crypto.com Arena on February 19th.

Two days later, the Los Angeles Clippers’ home game against the Hornets was postponed. The Clippers will now host the Hornets at the Intuit Dome on March 16.

Across the country on January 11, the Hawks’ game against the Houston Rockets had to be postponed due to a winter storm. Atlanta and Houston will now meet on January 28 at State Farm Arena.

With the three games moved to later in the season, six other changes had to be made for scheduling reasons. Here are those changes:

  • Chicago Bulls in Los Angeles, the Clippers moved from January 21st to January 20th.
  • Washington Wizards on the Utah Jazz moved from January 23rd to March 19th.
  • Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers moved from February 11th to February 10th.
  • The Washington Wizards at the Los Angeles Clippers moved from March 16th to January 23rd.
  • Washington Wizards at Portland Trail Blazers moved from March 18th to March 17th.
  • Los Angeles Clippers at Utah Jazz moved from March 19th to February 13th.
