Gun found at Baton Rouge high school strengthens lockdown Thursday, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – Woodlawn High School is currently on lockdown after a weapon was found on campus, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

The sheriff’s office said they are waiting for more information from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

The cordon is a precautionary measure while deputies search the area, the sheriff’s office said.
