Rapper and actor Method Man, a member of the legendary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, was allegedly involved in an assault at a Crunch Fitness gym in Staten Island, police sources told The Post on Thursday.

Method Man, 53, whose real name is Clifford Smith, allegedly punched a man in the face seven times “with a closed fist,” the sources said.

The alleged assault was the result of a relationship the alleged 28-year-old victim had with the “Tical” rapper’s daughter more than a decade ago.

The man reported facial pain and dizziness but refused medical attention at the scene, the sources said.

A complaint report was filed with the NYPD, but Smith was not arrested, sources said.
