Johnny Gaudreau’s wife Meredith praises tattoo artist for her special tattoo made with Johnny’s ashes in the ink

The late NHL star Johnny Gaudreau’s wife Meredith has paid special tribute to his memory since the tragic accident in late August that claimed the lives of the two Gaudreau brothers. New Jersey-based tattoo artist Tay Nicole Clinch shared Tuesday that Meredith had gotten a special tattoo with Johnny’s ashes inked.

Clinch posted a carousel of photos of the tattoos she did for Meredith on her Instagram page and shared the story of how, about a month ago, Meredith approached her with a request for a cremation tattoo. The photos included a touching ‘forever’ inked across the side of Meredith’s ring finger.

She also printed the names of their two children, ‘Noa Harper’ and ‘Johnny Edward’ on her forearm.

In the comments section of the post, Meredith praised Clinch for her tattoo artistry, writing:

“Obsessed with them. Perfectly executed by the best and coolest girl”

Tattoo artist writes a special message to Johnny Gaudreau’s wife

In the original post, the tattoo artist shared how she had never done a cremation tattoo before and was aware of her lack of experience, but Meredith decided to go ahead with her anyway. But at the time, she wasn’t aware of Meredith’s story.

“Soon after she told me her story and it’s safe to say I got pretty emotional when I realized this was a story I already knew about and was brought to tears before,” Tay Nicole Clinch wrote.

She also said they consulted a doctor who gave approval, confirming the process was handled with care and informed guidance. Clinch thanked Meredith for trusting her with such touching art and wished her a speedy recovery without any side effects after the tattoos were done.

“So with his ashes in the ink, this tattoo became an extra way to carry his presence with her along with their babies – thank you for trusting me with something so special and letting me play a small part in your healing journey. ,” wrote she.

“I wanted Meredith to have some private time with these while they healed and they have healed well with no unusual side effects ,” Clinch concluded.

However, this was not Meredith’s first tattoo in Johnny Gaudreau’s memory. Earlier in December, when the Gaudreau family flew to Calgary to attend a Flames tribute, Meredith got her first tattoo of Johnny’s signature.
