They were on a roll, winning 12 of their next 18 games. Unfortunately for Philadelphia, they are now back to where they started the season losing 4 straight games with most of their star players on the bench with injuries. Joel Embiid, Jared McCain, Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin are just a few of many injured 76ers. Paul George is also dealing with groin tightness, leaving him questionable for tonight’s game. The 76ers will need to rely heavily on Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. if they want to end their losing streak.

Like the 76ers, the Pacers also started their season slowly with a 9-14 record. Since then, Indiana has re-established itself in the Eastern Conference, winning 14 of their last 19 games and 7 of their last 8. The Pacers are close to full health as the 76ers must handle a full effort from Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner. Even if George plays tonight, health is going to play a major factor in tonight’s contest, mainly in the second unit for both teams. The 76ers are asking a lot from many young, inexperienced players in this day and age. Justin Edwards and Adem Bona are examples of two 76ers that head coach Nick Nurse is asking for 20-30 minutes from every night as other players get healthy. With players like Obi Toppin, TJ McConnell and Benedict Mathurin, the Pacers’ depth has become their strength. Philadelphia might be able to hang around early, but ultimately I see the Pacers depth being too much for the current Philadelphia 76ers.
