The SNL cold open tackled MSNBC, TikTok bans and The Rizzler

Saturday Night Live returned after a short hiatus and brought in comedian Dave Chappelle as host. With the second inauguration of Donald Trump just around the corner, the cold open naturally went with a political skit. This time, the sketch comedy opened with an MSNBC panel hosted by Sarah Sherman’s Rachel Maddow.

The panel hit on the Los Angeles fires, the inauguration and outlandish breaking news before revealing James Austin Johnson as Trump during a press conference about the TikTok ban.

“Yeah, we love TikTok, don’t we?” Johnson’s Trump, said from a podium. “We love TikTok. We used to hate it, but then, honestly, in a lot of ways it made me choose.”

He went on to mention The Rizzler before welcoming Bowen Yang as George Santos. See the entire intro here:
