More warnings issued as snow, wind chill values ​​of 5 below possible

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–FOX 17 News has issued a CODE RED weather alert due to numerous warnings as cold temperatures and snow move into Tennessee.

Light snow will begin to fall Saturday night into early afternoon Sunday. Most areas will only see a light dusting of half an inch, while the Plateau could see up to 1″ and possibly higher in some places. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Plateau starting at noon on Sunday due to conditions.

A cold weather advisory is in effect for all of Middle Tennessee as temperatures will drop into the single digits early Monday morning. Wind chill values ​​can reach 5 degrees below zero. Temperatures could remain at or below freezing Saturday night into Wednesday.

Monday’s high is expected to be only 23 degrees and Tuesday’s high only 29 degrees.
