Find out who has filed so far for the May Pearland, Friendswood election

With the filing period beginning Jan. 15, a number of candidates have filed for the May 3 election in Pearland ISD, Alvin ISD and the city of Friendswood.

The last day to register to vote is April 3. Early voting will be from April 22 to 29, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

AISD

There are currently no candidates who have filed for a spot on the May ballot, AISD Communications Director Renae Rives said in a Jan. 16 email.

Before AISDthe following three-year positions will be up for election:

Those positions are currently held by Regan Peterson and David Selsky, respectively, according to AISD’s website.

PID

Incumbents Jenny Francis and Nanette Weimer have applied for a place on the May ballot, according to PISDs election website.

Francis serves Position 6, while Weimer serves Position 7, according to the district’s website.

Position 5, currently held by Amanda Kuhn, is also up for election in May, the district’s website notes.

All positions are for three years.

Friendswood City Council

Incumbent Robert Griffon has filed for position 4 on the May ballot, according to Friendswood communications director Glenda Dawson.

Griffon serves position 4, according to the city’s website.
