Ravens lock up on ground, cap drive with Derrick Henry TD

ORCHARD PARK, NY — The Baltimore Ravens closed within 21-19 of the Buffalo Bills by getting their ground attack on track. Derrick Henry’s 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter capped a drive in which Baltimore went on six of seven plays.

On the two-point conversion, Lamar Jackson’s pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage and fell incomplete. This continued a bad trend for the Ravens, who are 1-of-4 on two-point conversions this season.

In the first quarter, Jackson gave the Ravens an early 7-0 lead over the Bills with a 16-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Rashod Bateman, marking the second straight game they have connected on a touchdown pass on the opening drive . . Last week, Jackson capped the first series against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 15-yard touchdown toss to Bateman.

Baltimore has turned its fortunes around at the start of postseason games. The Ravens had mustered just three points on opening drives in Jackson’s first six playoff games.

Now, after opening drives this postseason, Jackson is a perfect 5-of-5 passing for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
