“It was definitely very, very tough. I knew in my mind that he (Rune) also had some very long games before this one, so I tried to stay there mentally,” Sinner said.

“I was just trying to stay connected with my service game and in turn see what happens…I really needed you (the crowd) today so it’s 90 percent yours and 10 percent I was trying to make you guys happy. ”

“Today this morning was a very strange morning because I didn’t even warm up today so I tried to go on the court as fit as I could… I already knew before the game that I was going to struggle today.”
